Underwater Treasure

There are treasures in the seas of the world, but never easy to find. The men are limited to the amount of air in the tank to find the greatest treasures they will ever see and somehow become heroes for the entire human race. This, I think, is a metaphor for life. There is only so much time each of us has to do something really amazing that will astonish the world. Most of us are just "swimming around" wasting air. What would I do if I knew I was running out of air and there was treasure to be found? I think this is a worthy question to think about. I think it is a question my students should consider, too. My air will run out faster, but eventually there's will run out. Where is your treasure?

Desperate Pleas for Peace!!!
This picture caught my attention because the man's raised arms almost grabbed me, dragging me into his shoes.  This is the reality of a life outside America, my comfort zone.  Though I hear many cries for help, I usually keep my silence and go on with my daily activities.
